From 2009 to 2017, I served on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Ichthyosis and Related Skin Types (opens in new tab) (FIRST). I helped redesign the FIRST website, developed medical communications initiatives, and expanded FIRST’s social media presence.
I co-authored the blog “Confetti Skin, Beauty Within” and conducted a 2013 Reddit AMA that achieved significant visibility. I have also contributed to scientific research, including a published paper on “Frequent somatic reversion of KRT1 mutations in ichthyosis with confetti” (J Clin Invest. 2015 (opens in new tab)).
